| / / / / / / 사람들 간의 관계를 도형으로 도식화한 작품이다. 동그라미는 '나'를, 세모는 '너'를 상징하며, 이는 서로 뒤바뀌어도 무방하다. 총 일곱 개의 캔버스에 나뉘어 그려진 그림들은 각기 다른 각도에서 바라 본 '너'와 '나'의 모습들이다. 첫 번째 그림은 정면에서 바라 본 '너'와 '나'의 형상으로, 둘은 하나의 선으로 이어져 있고 마치 저울과 추처럼 서로를 지탱하고 있다. 나머지 그림들은 이와 다른 관점에서 관찰된 모습들이다. '나'의 위치에서는 내가 확대되어 보이고 '너'의 위치에서는 상대적으로 '나'는 작아 보인다. 마지막 두 개의 그림은 수직으로 위에서 아래 그리고 아래에서 위를 향해 본 '너'와 ‘나’의 모습으로, 그 둘은 하나의 선으로 연결된 대등한 관계에 있음을 보여준다. 작품은 '너'가 있기에 '내'가 있으며 서로 다른 모습처럼 보이지만 그것은 관점의 차이일 뿐, 결국 두 개체—'너'와 '나'—가 동일함을 보여준다. The circle symbolizes ‘I,’ the triangle symbolizes ‘you’, which can be reversed. Connected by a single line, two of them are dependent on each other like weights on a scale. The seven paintings depict 'you' and 'I' as viewed by a third party. Images vary depending on one’s point of view. 'I' appear larger from where 'I' stand but relatively small from where 'you' are. The last two paintings are images of 'you' and 'I' viewed vertically, one from the top and one from the bottom, depicting them as equals connected by a straight line. |

| / / / / / / 열 개의 그림은 하나의 원뿔을 180도 회전시키는 모습을 순차적으로 그린 것이다. 원뿔의 꼭대기를 수직에서 내려다 본 모습을 시작으로 하여 원뿔은 회전하면서 세모가 되고 더 나아가 다시 원형의 모습(원뿔의 밑동)을 갖게 된다. 이렇게 원뿔이 지닌 두 개의 다른 모습 − 원형과 삼각형− 을 보여줌으로써 하나의 개체는 또 다른 개체 없이 존재할 수 없음을 역설한다. Ten successive paintings of a cone rotating 180°. What initially resembled a circle when viewed from above turns into a triangle, then back again into a circle as the cone rotates, demonstrating how each entity − a circle and a triangle − is connected to another and exists only when the other exists. |
